Recipe: Celery Juice
For the last two months, I’ve been on the celery juice hype and I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve never liked celery, nor would I think of juicing it in a blender and drinking every morning, but for me the health benefits far outweigh the taste. Once you get through the first few days, it’s definitely gets easier to fit into your routine.
Why is celery juice so healing?
Celery is actually an herb and not a vegetable, so it has great healing properties! Celery has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is high in vitamin K which promotes general bone and heart health. It’s also high in vitamin C for your immune system and helps maintain healthy blood pressure too.
People are experiencing relief from all sorts of acute and chronic illnesses like eczema, psoriasis, acne, constipation, blood sugar issues, migraines, acid reflux, high blood pressure, and the list goes on. If you’re up for this healthy morning ritual, start drinking plain celery juice every morning!
How to prepare celery juice
Rinse celery and run it through the juicer. If you can, try and use organic celery.
You want to aim to drink 16 oz (2 cups) of fresh celery juice daily (if that’s too much for you, start small and work your way up.)
Drink the juice first thing in the morning and wait 15-30 minutes before consuming your breakfast.
