My Daily Food Intake

Spreading Out Your Meals

If you’re anything like me, you can’t just survive on three square meals a day. I am the type that needs to have bites throughout the day to keep my energy levels up. Eating smaller meals throughout the day also helps me avoid feeling fatigued after a big meal.

Although my diet varies from day-to-day because I usually prepare different meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, here is a snapshot of what I usually eat in a day:

WAKE UP (7:00 am)

  • 8 oz of fresh celery juice

BREAKFAST (8:30 am)

  • 1 cup of steel cut oats with half of a banana and a handful of blueberries

  • 1 cup of black coffee with coconut creamer

  • 2 cups of water

MORNING SNACK (11:00 am)

  • Cut up strawberries

  • 1 cup of water

LUNCH (12:30 pm)

  • Energy bowl, Scrambled eggs, 1/2 avocado, lentils and a spoonful of hummus

  • 1 cup of lemon water

AFTERNOON SNACK (3:30 pm )

  • Handful of almonds

  • 1 cup of water

TEA TIME (4:30 pm)

  • Green tea

DINNER (6:30 pm)

  • 1 cup of water

  • Taco Salad with baby spinach, 1/2 avocado, red peppers, red onions, a few tortilla chips, and lime juice for dressing

DESSERT (7:00 pm)

  • Sliced Apples with cinnamon

I really try not to eat for three hours before bed and drink water in the evening, but if I’m still hungry I’ll have a bit of fruit or some nuts to tide me over until the morning!
