Getting the Booty of Your Dreams

I’ll admit, I’ve always felt like I’ve had a little extra in the booty department! But I really started to seriously work on getting my booty in shape when we moved to Los Angeles. We lived in a small one bedroom apartment in Hollywood close to Runyon Canyon.

Runyon Canyon is, in my opinion, The Booty Mecca! If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about (lol). Runyon is full of steep hills and you’re always on an incline, doesn’t matter what direction you go, you’re sure to get an amazing workout- I LOVE IT! 

If you’re looking for a similar spot where you live, any park, hiking trail, or even neighborhood streets with lots of hills or inclines will do the trick.


During my Runyon Canyon workouts, I would start on the harder incline and lunge all the way up, skipping every other step (you can also do this on stairs). Then, I would run down and do it all over again. After one month, I notice my booty growing and my glutes and legs firming up.



Squats are an amazing workout for your legs, lower abs, and especially your glutes! But it’s important to remember that you’ll only benefit from squats if you do them using proper form.


  1. Tuck in your tail bone and don’t stick your bum out.

  2. Keep your back as straight as you can.

  3. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart.

  4. Squat down slowly, keeping your back straight, before returning to a standing position.

I like to try and harness the power of my mind to send all my energy to my booty when squatting and really focus on what I’m doing and what muscles I’m using.

Eating protein helps your bum grow as well. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you can still get lots of protein after your workouts with tofu, tempeh, edamame, nutritional yeast, lentils, chickpeas and the list goes on!

Also, I think since become a mom, I’ve obviously gained weight and now the fat is turning into muscle and I’m much more curvier. I think whatever curves you have, it’s so important to love them all and really embrace the woman that you are!
