I was born in Brighton, UK before moving to Canada at the age of three. I grew up in Burlington, Ontario which is about 40 minutes from Toronto. Although I grew up as an only child, I had amazing friendships with a fleet of incredible girls that I’m still extremely close with today!
As I got older, I realized that I had a passion for caring for others, so I trained as a Cardiovascular Technologist for seven years. My career in healthcare definitely fueled my interest in fitness and staying active.
In 2008, I met this amazing guy named Nick in our hometown of Burlington. After dating for a while, we moved in together and got our first fur-baby, Joey. I have always been an animal-lover and raising Joey definitely amplified my passion for them.
THEN, one day when Nick came home He asked what I thought about moving to LA to open a digital media agency. Being extremely adventurous, my immediate answer was “why not?!”
Six months later, we packed the last of our boxes into the car and started on the longest road trip we’ve ever taken to Los Angeles.
As we drove across the country, we made a few stops along the way to visit friends, finally arriving in Hollywood, Los Angeles 10 days later! After settling into our LA condo, we welcomed the addition of our second fur-baby Keeva! After living the fast-paced Hollywood life for four years, Nick and I decided to move to the suburbs to start our family.
We found an amazing family home and shortly after our move, we found out we were expecting our sweet little boy, Chase. Later that year, Nick proposed to me at the very spot where had our first date back home in Burlington. Now, we are busy planning our wedding which will fall on our 11-year anniversary this year!
Since having Chase, my lifestyle has definitely evolved. I’ve always been into keeping fit and staying active, but now with baby chase, it can definitely be a challenge.
My goal is to use this platform to share my journey and hopefully inspire others to work towards their health and fitness targets.
